Family friendly museums

Accreditated museums in top national award shortlist

The top six shortlisted museums for the 2009 Guardian Family Friendly Museums Award are all part of the MLA’s Museum Accreditation Scheme. The Scheme has set nationally agreed standards for museums in the UK, and has been used as a model and source of inspiration for museums overseas. The 2009 Guardian Family Friendly Museums Award celebrates museums, like the MLA’s Accredited museums, which strive to make museum visits fun experiences for all the family.
