Collections MLA supports or contributes to a variety of initiatives to provide comprehensive advice and information for everyone involved in developing and managing collections. Collections Link, managed by Collections Trust in partnership with the Institute of Conservation and National Preservation Office and funded through the Renaissance programme, was launched to offer fast, easy access to current best practice in professional collections management. Security The National Security Adviser has specialist knowledge and experience of security issues relating to museums, galleries, archives and libraries. It is important to regularly consider emerging trends and patterns of criminal activity, in order to assess risks and take steps to reduce them. Guidelines and factsheets on security issues are available from Collections Link. Advice and information are also available from regional MLA accreditation staff.
