National Activity We have listened to archivists to identify four key areas of development that the national strands of Action for Archives will address. These are: - Fundraising
Mentor programme to support archives to develop the essential skills and organisational focus to implement a sustainable fund-raising strategy. - Strategic planning and influencing
Mentor programme for teams from archives to develop strategic planning and skills to influence senior managers in order to increase access to resources and opportunities. - Young cultural creators
Support to develop sustainable creative learning programmes, in partnership with schools and local libraries. - Leadership and workforce development
Fully funded places on the Leading Archives & Museums Course and Clore Programme; learning sets for archive leaders; pilot programme for school work placements and careers services to foster future entry into the profession. Regional Activity Each Regional Agency will offer a wide programme of training and support, in response to the needs of archive services within the region.
