Marketing

The marketing strategy and plan for public libraries for 2005-2008 was agreed by the Minister David Lammy on 30th June 2005.

The target audiences for the national campaign in 2005 were identified as:

  • Under 5s and their families
  • Young people aged 18-25
  • 55-65 year olds

There will be internal communications support to help reach library staff and an advocacy programme for central, regional and local government.
