Review of Renaissance Over the period November 04 to March 05, MLA carried out a review of Renaissance implementation. Its purpose was to shape the future design and delivery of Renaissance after March 2006, in the light of the knowledge gained and lessons learned over the period April 2003 - March 2005. It sought to ensure hubs, MLA Regional Agencies (RAs) and other key partners identified, built on and shared their experiences of what worked well and what didn't, and drew on the views of the wider museums community. Following a wide ranging consultation, involving hub museums, MLA Regional Agencies, the wider museums community and national bodies, in a series of workshops, regional fora and meetings, a report was produced detailing the findings and making specific recommendations for planning post March 2006. The report proved an extremely valuable document, with a large number of the recommendations translated into the hub planning guidance for 2006-2008, and further recommendations informing longer term planning and delivery.
