Museum Development Fund The Renaissance Museum Development Fund (MDF) provides funding to MLA regional agencies to offer advice and support to non-hub museums in their region. The advice and support offered varies in each region. Each region’s hub and regional agency have worked together to produce a statement of the support available to museums in that region. Museum Development Officers Network In 2005 research into the support available to the museum sector was conducted on behalf of the MLA and the Association of Independent Museums (AIM). It provided a comprehensive picture of the support available to the museum sector and reveals how that support was funded. It also identified gaps in provision.
