Our publications

We publish a large range of publications, including reports, booklets, guides and leaflets, available for download in electronic format either as Word documentsor as PDFs(Portable Document Format) for which you can obtain a free Acrobat Reader.

To order your copy

We only hold a small amount of printed copies at MLA, but you can order your copy by following the how to order link. Some PDFs can also be ordered and are indicated by a book icon which links to details of how to order them.

Find what you want

The Browse by Title list gives a comprehensive alphabetical index of our publications. You will find everything here, and this is the best place to look if you want to see all our output (including managment records, such as minutes of meetings).

The Browse by Date lists by the year of publication. Material produced over the last five years, includes items published under the imprint of our previous organisational name (Resource) and our predecessor bodies (the Museums & Galleries Commission and the Library and Information Commission).
