Research & Evidence

Research forms an important part of the MLA Partnership's work and is used as a strategic tool helping to inform and underpin MLA policy objectives. Specifically, the MLA Partnership invests in research and evaluation to inform the development and implementation of the programmes and activities it funds and manages. The process and results of this research work provide vital information and evidence of whether our programmes and activities are a) good value for money, and b) helping us meet one or more of our strategic aims.

Our Research and Evaluation Framework 2007-2010 provides further information relating to this approach and the key questions each research project must answer.

We are also working on providing a listing of current research and evaluation projects across the Partnership. A useful single source for those interested in MLA research, the listing will provide a short description for each project along with budget information, proposed outputs and delivery dates. The listing will also identify for each project the lead partner from the MLA Partnership along with the project's relationship to the research and evidence framework.

Resources

The new Research Resources website is a gateway to our Case Studies database and our Research and Evaluation documents database.

If you have any questions or comments relating to research in the MLA Partnership please contact the MLA Research Team at research@mla.gov.uk
