Designated collections in the East of England

In the East of England the following museums hold Designated Collections:

Designated Collections held in Hub museums:

  • Castle Museum, Colchester & Ipswich Museums Service
  • Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery
  • Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge

The Renaissance Designation Challenge Fund (DCF) has provided funding for a number of Designated Collections held by museums. You can find out more in the DCF section.

Support for museums in the East of England

The Renaissance Museum Development Fund (MDF) provides funding to MLA regional agencies to offer advice and support to non-hub museums in their region. The advice and support offered varies in each region. The East of England hub and MLA East of England have worked together to produce a statement of the support available to museums in the region.
