Designated collections in the South East

In the South East the following museums hold Designated Collections:

  • Royal Pavilion, Libraries & Museums, Btighton & Hove: Brighton Museum & Art Gallery, Royal Pavilion, Preston Manor & Booth Museum of Natural History.
  • Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford
  • Museum of the history of science, University of Oxford
  • Museum of Natural History, University of Oxford
  • Pitt Rivers Museum, University of Oxford

The Renaissance Designation Challenege Fund (DCF) has provided funding for a number of designated collections held by museums. You can find out more in the DCF section.

Support for all museums in the South East

The Renaissance Museum Development Fund (MDF) provides funding to MLA regional agencies to offer advice and support to non-hub museums in their region. The advice and support offered varies in each region. The South East hub and MLA South East have worked together to produce a statement of the support available to museums in the region.
