MLA is working on a number of projects to help museums, libraries and archives continue to exploit digital technologies, and to deliver positive outcomes for their communities. These include:
Infrastructure developments such as:
Culture Grid, Culture24 Portal, Libraries connectivity to JANET
Content creation and management:
Work to ensure sustainability of digital content, and work to develop online library reference material and e-books.
Bridging the digital divide:
Projects to help people improve their digital skills, including The People’s Record, and libraries support for volunteering for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Workforce support and development:
Training opportunities for museums, libraries and archives staff in Web 2.0 and Social Networking tools; relaunch of Collections Link website by Collections Trust to support collections management and standards.
