SHARE is the Renaissance East of England skills-sharing network. For the past two years it has utilised the time and expertise given by the four hub museum services and Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts to provide free training and assistance to museums across the region. It has also drawn on the time and expertise of four regional conservation officers to help museums improve collections care.
The support SHARE offers takes many forms including practical advice, training, one to one consultations, skills sharing, work placements, special project work and mentoring support.
SHARE has been a great success but with the centralised hub model being brought to an end by June 2011, it needs to change with the times.
Starting in December 2010 we held a series of meetings around the region to gather your support and hear your ideas about where SHARE should go from here.
